A little more about me…

My career in the beauty industry began in 2009 when I enrolled on a Beauty Therapy course at Canterbury College. I had always loved makeup and painting my nails though never thought about pursuing a career in either, but after a couple of years in Sixth Form not gaining much I decided to enrol on the course and if nothing gain a skill. As it happens I absolutely loved it and after two years of learning and perfecting my skills I applied for a Manicurist job at Nails inc. Fun Fact: Nail Technology was my least favourite lesson and I didn’t see myself as very good, I much preferred the science and facial lessons.

Nevertheless the college careers adviser insisted a handful of times that I apply and thought I would be good for the role. Four years I worked for Nails inc. I will be forever grateful for that careers adviser and the opportunity to work for such an icon of a brand. To this day I still love their products and recommend them to my clients. Without nails inc I wouldn't be where I am today and i’m a true believer that everything happens for a reason.

After having my girls in 2016 it felt like the right time to embark on a new project; Beauty by Hannah. I always envisioned having my own business and so I set up as self employed and began offering mobile manicure appointments. Shortly after that a few years later I started to offer Bridal Hair & Makeup alongside. Beauty by Hannah is quite possibly my proudest achievement, I have worked hard to get it where it is today and I deeply love what I do with both my new brides that I get to meet year on year but also with my loyal clients who ground me and quite literally bring me in to their homes.

I love lots of things, including gardening, interiors, flowers, coffee, dog walks, the countryside .. I could literally go on and on. For more just follow me on instagram id love to see you there!
